Richard C. Blanks, JD, MD currently serves as the Director
of the Forensic Psychiatry Service of the George Washington University Medical
Faculty Associates. Dr. Blanks
graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Campbell
University School of Law. In 2002,
Dr. Blanks graduated from the George Washington University School of Medicine
and Health Sciences, where he received the prestigious Jerry Weiner Award as
the most outstanding graduate of the medical school planning a career in
psychiatry.
Dr. Blanks completed his internship and residency at the
Harvard Medical School affiliated Cambridge Health Alliance. Dr. Blanks completed a fellowship in
Medical Ethics at the Harvard Medical School and a fellowship in Psychiatry and
Law at the University of Massachusetts. He is a board-certified psychiatrist who maintains an active law and
medical license in the District of Columbia.
